The 1st Guzzi we got was an `81 CX100 (LM2). It's still my favorite bike ! With the Corbin seat & it's built-in dash clock, it really can be a 1 or 2 up bike. It has a 5 gal. tank & we can go @ least 200 miles between fillups. We get 50-60 mpg with it. Two times I've had to put 89 octane in it & it runs just fine, though mileage drops to 40. One the the bonus features of this bike is that you can mount normal handlebars vs. it's clipons. I added euro. touring bars. For when needed, I've already bought nigasil/piston/barrels for the motor so this bike should be running the rest of my life !!
A couple years ago I got an `87 LM4. This bike is definitely made for 1 person only. It's my fastest bike & needed little to make it better. Just a Corbin seat, rear rack, & REAL crash bars. If I have to haul ass, it's my best bike. It'll cruise @ 80-90 all day without really working. It has a 5.8 gal. tank & I get 40-45 mpg with it which means I can go @ least 220 miles on a tank. Because of it's added power, it does need rear tires more often, but runs on 120/ or 130/ tires which aren't as expensive as the fatter tires.
